Hiroe Mogi is an expert Japanese quilter and sashiko designer.
Hiroe has extensive experience teaching sashiko, boro, foundation piecing and english paper piecing, and is renowned for her stunning quilts that incorporate contemporary Japanese fabrics.
Born in Nagoya, Japan, she has resided in Australia for the past 25 years. Through her boutique label, HM Textiles, Hiroe imports and wholesales curated Japanese fabrics and creates exquisite Sashiko designs which sell worldwide. Her quilts often showcase magnificent Japanese fabrics, demonstrating their beauty and versatility.
Over the past 15 years, Hiroe has gained worldwide recognition for her artistry, particularly her pre-printed sashiko designs on fabric.
