Atsushi Futatsuya Sashiko Lecture & Exhibition

Join us for an exclusive evening with internationally renowned sashiko artisan, educator, and storyteller, Atsushi Futatsuya.

 This special event is a rare opportunity to delve into the heart of Japanese textile traditions. Atsushi will present a captivating lecture on the history and philosophy of sashiko, sharing insights from his generations-long family connection to the practice in Gifu Prefecture, Japan.

Beyond the lecture, the evening features an exhibition of works by both Atsushi and his mother, Keiko Futatsuya. Guests will have the opportunity to view a curated selection of pieces, including intricately stitched garments that showcase the evolution and artistry of traditional sashiko.
